Full-time, weekend nights. Every Fri, Sat and Sun from 7pm to 7am
Department/Position Overview:
CCU (Cardiac Care Unit) is a 12-bed high-level intermediate care unit that specializes in caring for cardiac and vascular patients before and after interventional procedures and surgeries such as cardiac catheterizations, coronary bypass surgery, carotid surgery, and peripheral vascular surgery. CCU also cares for congestive heart failure and arrhythmia patients. We do bedside transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions, remove chest tubes and central lines, and so much more.
Our team is a close-knit family of strong nurses and patient care technicians who delivery the best patient experience possible and have fun together in the process. We welcome candidates who share our passion for patient care!
As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. If you desire, there are promotional opportunities into leadership or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
