Overview

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the accuracy, quality, and integrity of benefit plan data and documents within the Simplify Benefits1 platform. This role focuses on quality assurance, data validation, testing, reporting, and process improvement to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient benefit document production.

The analyst partners with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to validate system outputs, resolve issues, support system enhancements, and develop tools and processes that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Data Validation

  • Perform quality assurance testing and validation to ensure benefit plan data, documents, and system outputs are accurate, complete, compliant, and delivered within established deadlines.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, defects, and process issues; support root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Validate system changes, enhancements, and configurations prior to implementation.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and production validation activities.
  • Monitor deliverables and proactively manage priorities to meet project timelines and business commitments.

Business Systems Support

  • Support the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of Simplify Benefits1 and related business applications.
  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements and operational processes.
  • Maintain process documentation, validation procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor data integrity and support issue resolution across business systems.

Process Improvement, Reporting & Tool Development

  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain validation tools, reports, dashboards, templates, and other operational resources.
  • Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Analyze data, identify trends, and support routine and ad hoc reporting needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Sales, Operations, Compliance, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to support business initiatives.
  • Maintain centralized documentation and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Support projects involving system enhancements, testing, data management, reporting, and document production.
  • Perform additional business systems, quality assurance, reporting, and operational responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • High School Grad or equivalent (Required)

Certification/Licensure

  • No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience in business systems analysis, quality assurance, testing, reporting, data analysis, or a related field (Required).
  • Experience supporting business applications and operational processes.
  • Experience with system testing, data validation, or quality assurance preferred.
  • Healthcare, insurance, benefits administration, or other regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
  • Experience developing reports, validation tools, and process documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting benefits administration, benefit plan documents, or insurance-related systems.
  • Experience with Simplify Benefits1 or similar benefits administration platforms.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and testing practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SQL, HTML, reporting tools, or automation solutions.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full-Time employment is: $61,235.20 – $102,065.60. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
