Sentara Health HYBRID Remote Physical Therapy Central Schedulers in Hampton Roads, VA!
~Full Time and Day shift~
Monday-Friday
The position will be hybrid – remote with onsite training requirements or when there is a business need.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling outpatient rehab therapy appointments for patients based on physician orders.
Obtaining information required for scheduling, verifying patient information, and completing patient registrations.
Managing a high volume of phone calls continuously during a given shift while maintaining a superior level of attention to detail
Engaging with patients and team members in a professional manner while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
Minimum Qualifications:
HS – High School Grad or Equivalent
One of the four skill levels required:
Transferrable skills (i.e., 1 year or more in a call center environment)
One year experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office
One year experience in a healthcare environment
Completion of healthcare related certificate program.

Responsibilities
Schedules appointments for outpatient rehab for a number of services including but not limited to, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, chiropractic, nutrition, and massage. Accountable for accurately and completely obtaining required information in the scheduling process, ensuring the correct patient and service type requested, has been scheduled. Responsible for order reading orders, communications, guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis, and various clerical duties within scope of role. Two of the four skill levels required: 1. Transferable skills (i.e., 1 year or more in a call center environment); 2. One year experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician’s office; 3. One year experience in a healthcare environment or 4. Completion of healthcare related certificate program.
