Overview
Sentara Northern VA Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Health Record and Information Tech for the 2nd shift (3:00p – 11:30p) Tuesday – Saturday.
This position is located in Woodbridge, VA
Requirements:
1 year of Medical Records Data experience is required
High School Education is required
**Graduate of an approved Health Information Technology/Management training program can be substituted for one year of medical records data job experience.
Additional Experience:
Knowledge of general medical terminology.
Experience preferred working within different windows in a computer environment and ability to work in duplicate systems during periods of implementation.
Ability to multi task in a rapidly changing environment and prioritize tasks/functions.
Work individually and in a team environment.
Have organizational skills, eye-hand coordination, strong attention to detail, able to problem solve
Able to meet process document standards as established
Responsibilities
Account and prepare all documents for precision scanning into the electronic medical record with strict attention to maintain patient confidentiality guidelines for safeguarding patient medical information. Required to work within many different computer environments to track, scan, identify, validate and access medical records. Responsible to maintain data and statistics to support activities. Graduate of an approved Health Information Technology/Management training program can be substituted for one year of medical records data job experience. Knowledge of general medical terminology.
