Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Patient Care Specialist for Sentara Leigh Surgery Specialist Group!
This is a Full Time position with day shift hours and great benefits! Position is located in Norfolk, VA.
As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Healthcare, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. Job requirements:
Three (3) years Clerical, Customer Service experience required.
One year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers required.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems preferred.
HS – High School Grad or Equivalent
An Associate's level degree in lieu of the required experience will be considered
