Sentara Health is now hiring a Business Operations Coordinator to join our team!
This is a full-time, onsite position based at Sentara Independence, working a regular day shift schedule.
Business Operations coordinator Supports the daily functions of the operations team. Works closely with department leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational processes, improve efficiency, and contribute to the growth of the business.
Business Operations: This position provides ongoing administrative support to division, Clinical Chief through calendar management, communication support, and internal and external project support.
Divisional Schedule Support: This Coordinator will provide independent and high-level support across the division to Lead physicians and CRNAs to maximize provider efficiency and patient access. This position will be responsible for coordinating and adjusting PRN resources as needed across all locations.
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to:
• Understand the complexity of each location’s schedule and expertise of each provider to coordinate appropriate coverage and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Interpret the complexity of call schedules across various locations and communicate information among multiple interested parties.
• Quickly assimilate and adjust resources.
• Execute and carry out multi-level, changing schedules and work well under pressure.
• Superior time management, analytical and problem-solving skills are required to prioritize last minute requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain stable performance under stressful conditions; organizes and manages work to achieve results and track performance so that problems are detected early or prevented entirely.

Education
- HS – High School Grad or Equivalent
Certification/Licensure
- No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience
- 2 years of related experience required
- Strong background in healthcare operations or provider scheduling
- Experience working in a multi-site or matrixed environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across clinical and administrative teams
- Proficiency in tools such as QGenda, Microsoft Office, and relevant scheduling platforms
- Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability
