Sentara BelleHarbour Advanced Imaging Center, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a CAT Scan Technologist to join our Team!
Overview
In this role you will provide quality Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards; perform Computed Tomography (CT) per protocol under the direction of a qualified physician; provide patient and family education; operate equipment safely; complete department documentation; maintain all equipment to be clean and operational; maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations; follow radiation safety regulatory guidelines; administer CT Contrast per protocol.
We conduct approximately 40 exams per day. We have two GE scanners (Maxima and Discovery).

- 9 hour or 12-hour shifts are an option depending on who you are covering for.
- On call required for one week, every 8 weeks
Education
- Trade School Graduate
Certification/Licensure
- ARRT(R), ARRT(T), CNMT, NMTCB at time of hire are acceptable
- Must obtained ARRT (CT) advanced registry within 2 years of hire.
- BLS
Experience
- 7 – 12 months of sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
