Overview
The Vice President (VP) of Compensation is a key leadership role within the organization, responsible for design, delivery and continuous improvement of Sentara’s compensation architecture across the Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). This role is charged with ensuring compensation programs are strategically aligned, operationally sound, fiscally responsible and designed to attract, retain and reward top talent across all job types and levels, including physicians and senior leaders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a Business-related field required. Master’s degree or advanced certification (e.g., CCP, CECP) strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of the current and evolving landscape of local, state, and federal laws, codes, and regulations pertaining to compensation and benefits (Stark, Anti-Kickback, FMV, etc.)
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in compensation, with a minimum of 5 years in an Integrated Delivery Network or large healthcare system. Track record in executing, operationalizing, and maintaining compensation frameworks and job architecture, with expertise in compensation analytics and compliance. Exposure to executive compensation governance is preferred.
