Sentara Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated IT Analyst – Physician Computing to join our team based in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an onsite role with travel required across Virginia and North Carolina to support new facility implementations.
In this role, you will work closely with physicians, supporting onboarding and training on Epic systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing workflows. You will serve as a key resource during system transitions and upgrades and help ensure physicians have the tools and support needed to deliver exceptional care.
We’re looking for candidates with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain professional and composed while supporting providers in dynamic, fast-paced environments. . The ideal candidate will have experience working in hospital settings, a solid understanding of Epic clinical informatics, and a service-minded, collaborative approach.
On-call responsibilities rotate every 2 weeks.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
or
5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Certification/Licensure
Epic clinical informatics certification preferred
Experience

Experience supporting physician onboarding and Epic training in a hospital or clinical setting

Familiarity with Epic clinical informatics and physician workflows

Prior experience working in a healthcare environment, especially hospitals

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle high-pressure or escalated situations professionally
