Sentara Health is currently seeking a full-time remote Medical Coding Specialist.
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Standard Working Hours: Monday – Friday. Can start as early as 5:00AM EST or as late as 10:00AM EST.
Overview
Comprehensive understanding of the entire billing cycle, medical terminology, coding, charge entry, insurance adjudication, contractual agreement, payment posting, statements and collections.
3 – 5 years of medical coding experience with Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases version 10 (ICD-10), Heath Care Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and Modifier Coding required. Must have experience with Orthopedic Surgery coding.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is: Medical Coding Specialist I $19.47 – $32.45, Medical Coding Specialist II $22.36 – 37.26 . Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities
