Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Full-Time Quality Improvement Coordinator.
In this role you will be:
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at improving patient care, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on quality data, identifying trends and areas for improvement in patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety.
- Collaborating with clinical and operational teams to implement evidence-based practices and process improvements that align with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Providing education and training to staff on quality improvement tools, methodologies, and patient safety protocols.
- Tracking/Trending medical staff performance.
- Occurrence/Complaint investigation.
Education
- BSN
Certification/Licensure
- Virginia or Multi-State Registered Nurse License in good standing
Experience
- 2 years of acute care
- QI related activities preferred (medical record review, accreditation, PI activities)
- Experience in a clinical area of an acute care facility with demonstrated leadership, teaching and QI/PI facilitation skills preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and accreditation agency standards preferred (DNV or JCAHO)
- Experience with data analysis, Excel
- Knowledge around publicly reported quality data (CMS 5-star, QHIP, Leapfrog)
- Must be able to link the clinical effectiveness and clinical informatics arenas
- May require local travel and use of personal automobile.
